Response to Frontline video

Although I agree that internet journalism is booming, I do not really think that news should be biased. However, I do think that it is almost impossible to have non-biased news on the internet. The internet has no gatekeepers, anyone can go on and create a biased news blog. I think that the ideas in the show are legitimate, and that internet media is changing. But I do not think that traditional journalism is going anywhere.
People still want to watch CNN, 60 Minutes, and traditional 11:00 news everyday. People will still read newspapers. I do not think that blogging and internet journalism will take the place of traditional journalism. I think there is still a place for traditional journalism through non-biased news shows and the newspapers.
I think that it is true that the younger generations do not really watch traditional news. However, some young people do watch these programs. Also, these are legitimate news outlets, and I do not think they will go away. They are needed in our society, because we trust these outlets. Blogs are not as trustworthy when it comes to hard, non-biased news.
I think that blogs and internet medias are good supplements to the traditional newspapers and TV programs, but are not good enough or legitimate enough to have just those. I would be really surprised if newspapers and traditional TV programs were to go away due to internet media. Internet media and blogging is a good extra, but will not ever be the only news source.
